Agustín Martínez Caram (AR/NL) is a new media artist and researcher      whose work makes complex technological systems — algorithms, data      infrastructures, AI — experiential through installation, performance,      and participatory environments. He is a Professional Doctorate      (Arts + Creative) candidate at Hanze University of Applied      Sciences, Groningen, where his research project investigates how AI and      data literacy emerge within situated artistic research settings. Agustín Martínez Caram (AR/NL) is a new media artist and researcher      based in the Netherlands. His practice explores how complex systems —      algorithmic processes, data infrastructures, and AI — can become      experiential through art. Working across installation, performance,      audio, and creative coding, he builds situated environments in which      audiences and participants encounter, question, and negotiate their      relationships with the technologies that mediate everyday life.

He is currently a candidate in the Professional Doctorate      (Arts + Creative) programme at Hanze University of Applied      Sciences, affiliated with the Research Centre Art & Society. His      doctoral project traces how AI and data literacy take shape across a      series of participatory artistic research environments: a biosensor      installation in the Groningen countryside, a master's course, civic      co-creation formats in Tilburg and Reggio Emilia, and the      performance-installation ATMOS_FERA, presented at ADE Arts &      Culture 2025 and accepted for ISEA 2026.

His work has been shared internationally through performances,      exhibitions, and conferences, including the 4DSOUND spatial audio      programme at Stone Nest (London), the SAR International Conference on      Artistic Research (Porto), P+ARTS (Naples), EASST/4S (Amsterdam), and      Placemaking Week Europe (Reggio Emilia). He is a member of COST Action      CA23158 — ARTinRARE, a contributor to the NWO-funded Healthy Living as      a Service programme, a member of Sound Arguments (Orpheus Institute /      ACPA Leiden), and a founding member of ARC in the North, an artistic      research community in Groningen. He also teaches at the Frank Mohr      Institute, where he developed courses on AI in and around artistic      practice.

Martínez Caram holds an MFA in Art, Design & Technology from the      Frank Mohr Institute and a BA in English Literature & Linguistics      from the University of Leipzig.
